Mixing & Mastering Studio in Guadeloupe

Studio Le Seuil is a mixing and mastering studio based in Petit-Bourg, Guadeloupe, run by sound engineer Sébastien Guyader. Every project runs through a hybrid chain (industry-standard digital tools paired with hardware compressors and reel-to-reel tape) to get an analog tone and feel without giving up digital recall. Clients send files over, we work the cloud back-and-forth, and finished masters travel anywhere: streaming, club systems, car stereos, hi-fi.

Mixing

The goal is balance: every element sitting in its place, nothing fighting for space, a mix that already sounds close to finished before it hits mastering.

• Analog warmth — optional passes through professional tape (Akai GX-4000D, Fostex E-16) for saturation and glue that’s hard to fake in the box.
• Mastering-ready — a clean, well-staged mix that sets up an easy final stage, whether that’s mastered here or elsewhere.
• Every format — stereo down to Dolby Atmos immersive, using the Fiedler Audio suite.
• Remote collaboration — a dedicated cloud platform for stems, revisions, and version control, so distance is never the bottleneck.
• Scalable rates — priced for a single as easily as a full album.

Mastering

The last pass for translation and consistency — tracks that hold their shape wherever they’re played.

• Perfect translation — checked across streaming, club, car, and hi-fi systems before final approval.
• Analog glue — hardware (SPL Vitalizer, Elysia xpressor) and tape for cohesion and weight.
• Loudness-ready — compliant with Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and broadcast loudness standards.
• Sequencing & sign-off — gapless checks and cloud-based final approval before delivery.

Beyond the mix

• ISRC codes — SCPP-affiliated registration and metadata for released tracks (France only).
• Overdub & tracking — vocals, guitars, bass, and solo instruments recorded on a premium signal chain (Golden Age PRE-73 Jr, Rode K2, Lewitt condensers).
• Session musicians — a network of players available for extra layers, from a bassline to a full rhythm section.
• Video editing — cuts, color, and audio sync to round out a release with visual content.

Genres

Studio Le Seuil isn’t locked into one sound: the approach adapts to what the material calls for.

Jazz. For acoustic and small-ensemble jazz, the priority is staging over convention: instruments placed in their natural physical positions rather than the modern drums-and-bass-up-front default, with ambient reverb used to preserve the room and the interplay between players.

Pop. Radio- and playlist-ready balance: vocal presence up front, low end tight enough to hit on a phone speaker and a club system alike, loudness dialed in for streaming without losing dynamics.

Hip-hop. Low end with weight and control, a vocal that cuts without getting harsh, and mastering built for the systems hip-hop actually gets played on: car, club, earbuds.

Singer-songwriter & bands. Whether it’s a solo acoustic recording or a full band, the mix stays true to the performance with natural dynamics, honest tone, nothing over-processed.

Rates

Rates scale with the project, because an indie single costs less than a full album, and mixing, mastering, or both together can be quoted as a package.
